Question 1

Does the other person need to install an app?

Accepted Answer

No. They point their camera at your QR code, or tap your link, and your card opens in their browser. There is nothing to download on either side.

Question 2

How do I sign in?

Accepted Answer

With your email address and a password. Forgot it? Reset it from a link we email you — no phone number needed.

Question 3

How long does it take to make a card?

Accepted Answer

About two minutes. You fill in your details, pick one of six designs, choose your URL, and the card is live immediately — there is no review queue and no publish button.

Question 4

Can I change my card URL later?

Accepted Answer

No. Your URL is fixed when the card is created, because every QR code you print or share points at it. Changing it would break codes already in circulation, so we would rather you choose it deliberately once.

Question 5

What can I put on the card?

Accepted Answer

Your name, photo, job title, company, department, bio, location, email, phone, website and address — plus up to thirteen social and contact links, including LinkedIn, GitHub, Instagram, WhatsApp, Calendly and PayPal. You can also attach a PDF brochure people can download.

Question 6

How many designs are there?

Accepted Answer

Six: Emma, Classic, Minimal, Modern, Creative and Corporate. Classic, Minimal and Emma are on the free plan; Modern and Creative come with Pro; Corporate comes with Business.

Question 7

What happens if I have no internet when I share it?

Accepted Answer

It still works. Your QR code carries your name, number, email and company inside the code itself, so a phone can read it and save the contact without a connection. Opening the full card page does need internet.

Question 8

Can I print the QR code?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can download it as a PNG at 1024 pixels, which is large enough for a poster, a site board or the back of a paper card. There are four QR designs to choose from.

Question 9

Can I see who opened my card?

Accepted Answer

You see totals, not individuals: total views, unique views, QR scans separated from web visits, the countries your traffic came from, and the devices used. You also get the contact details people chose to leave you, which you can export as a CSV.

Question 10

What counts as a unique view?

Accepted Answer

A distinct visitor IP within a 24-hour window. Conversion rate is contacts saved divided by total views. We publish these definitions because a metric you cannot interpret is not much use.

Question 11

Is the free plan actually free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. One card, your own permanent URL, a QR code you can download and print, unlimited saved contacts and your full analytics history — with no credit card and no trial countdown. Paid plans add more cards, custom colours and fonts, and the premium card designs.

Question 12

What happens to my card if I stop paying?

Accepted Answer

Your card stays live and your URL stays yours. You drop back to what the free plan includes, so a premium design or custom colours would no longer apply, but nothing is deleted and no code stops working.

Question 13

What currency am I charged in?

Accepted Answer

Indian rupees, through Razorpay. Prices shown include 18% GST, so the figure on the pricing page is the figure you pay.

Question 14

Can I control what my team puts on their cards?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can lock any of nineteen fields to a company value, prefill them so staff can edit, leave them free, or hide them entirely. Locked fields are enforced when a card is saved, not just hidden in the interface. Personal names, photos and URLs are deliberately never lockable.

Question 15

How do I get everyone onto it?

Accepted Answer

Invite people by email one at a time, paste a list, or upload a spreadsheet. The import runs a dry-run first and shows you exactly which rows would fail and why, so you can fix them before anything is created.

Question 16

What do you collect when someone opens my card?

Accepted Answer

The time, whether it came from a QR scan or a link, the browser and device type, and an approximate country. We shorten the visitor IP to its network block before we ever look up a location, so the precise address does not leave our server.

Question 17

Can I delete my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and you do not need to ask us. Settings has a button to download everything we hold about you as a JSON file, and another to request deletion. Invoices are kept where the law requires it; everything else goes.

Question 18

What can it not do yet?

Accepted Answer

No Apple Wallet, no NFC cards, no CRM or Zapier integration, no custom domain, and no white labelling — every card carries a small GrowwID footer on every plan. Paid billing is set up for India (rupees and GST) for now.

Question 19

Do you have NFC cards?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no NFC support of any kind, and no physical card to buy. If someone tells you otherwise, they are describing a different product.

Question 20

Does it sync to Salesforce or HubSpot?

Accepted Answer

No. Contacts are captured on your card and exported as a CSV, which you import yourself. We would rather say that plainly than let you find out in month two.

Question 21

Are the virtual backgrounds AI-generated?

Accepted Answer

No. The feature places your QR code onto a photo you pick from fifteen we supply, or one you upload, and gives you a PNG for Zoom, Meet or Teams. There is no AI involved anywhere in the product.

Question 22

Can I use GrowwID from outside India?

Accepted Answer

You can sign in from anywhere — sign-in is by email and password, with no phone requirement. Paid plans are billed in rupees with GST for now, so billing is set up for India; we know that is the main thing standing between us and customers elsewhere.
